On December 6, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Zhanjiang Lingang Industrial Zone Energy Centralized Supply and Refueling Base Project (hereafter referred to as the "Zhanjiang Lingang Industrial Zone Energy Project") was held grandly at the project site in Xiashan District, Zhanjiang City. Present at the ceremony were Nie Bing, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Zhanjiang People's Congress and Party Secretary of Xiashan District; Deng Yaobo, Executive Director and President of China HK Power; Chen Leixin, Vice President of China HK Power and Chairman of Zhanjiang Huanfeng; Zhu Ruilong, Group Chief Administrative Officer; along with leaders from related departments in Xiashan District, representatives of energy-using enterprises in the industrial park, and various industry partners, all of whom witnessed this significant moment.
The Zhanjiang Lingang Industrial Zone Energy Project is a key project for Guangdong Province's energy development during the 14th Five-Year Plan and a major initiative for Zhanjiang City. It is also an important step for China HK Power to actively respond to the national new energy strategy and promote green economic development. The project has a total planned investment of 800 million RMB, with construction divided into two phases. The first phase covers 70 acres, with an investment of 560 million RMB, and aims to establish a centralized heat and electricity supply system. Upon completion, the system is expected to provide 1.3 million tons of green steam annually, generating 400 million RMB in annual revenue. The project aims to build a modern, integrated energy base, offering stable, efficient, and environmentally friendly energy solutions to enterprises in the Lingang Industrial Zone through the construction of a biomass-based centralized heating station. This will help businesses reduce costs, increase efficiency, and further improve energy security, while promoting industrial transformation and upgrading, and contributing to the high-quality development of the regional economy.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place in a warm yet solemn atmosphere. Gao Dean, representing Zhanjiang Huanfeng Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China HK Power, detailed the project’s development process and plans, and expressed gratitude for the comprehensive support provided by the Xiashan District Party Committee and local government during the project's preparation. He emphasized that Zhanjiang Huanfeng would make every effort to ensure the project is implemented with high quality and efficiency.
In his speech, Deng Yaobo, Executive Director and President of China HK Power, highly praised the favorable business environment in Xiashan District and thanked the district's government and partners for their long-standing support. He pointed out that as a pioneer in smart energy, China HK Power has always been committed to the development of green smart energy. This project will leverage China HK Power's professional advantages and, with the help of the Group’s advanced smart energy management technologies and innovative models, will continuously improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and contribute to the green and low-carbon high-quality development of the Zhanjiang Lingang Industrial Zone.
Finally, Nie Bing, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Zhanjiang People's Congress and Party Secretary of Xiashan District, extended a warm welcome to China HK Power for its investment in the smart energy project at the Zhanjiang Lingang Industrial Zone. He expressed high recognition for the company’s efforts in advancing green and clean energy development. He emphasized that the Zhanjiang Lingang Industrial Zone Energy Centralized Supply and Refueling Base Project is a key construction project for Zhanjiang City and is of great significance for promoting regional economic development, optimizing the energy structure, and improving energy supply efficiency. Nie Bing assured that the Xiashan District departments would continue to provide full-cycle, high-quality service support to ensure the project is completed and operational as soon as possible, contributing to the green and low-carbon development of the Lingang Industrial Zone.
Amid warm applause, Nie Bing announced the official commencement of the Zhanjiang Lingang Industrial Zone Energy Project. With symbolic gestures, the leaders present jointly broke ground for the project, marking the official start of its construction.
The launch of this project is not only an important strategic move for China HK Power in the smart energy sector but also a significant step toward the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of the Zhanjiang Lingang Industrial Zone.
